Using Digital Tools in Music Education Curriculum to Examine Operatic Components: Analysis of Works by Berg, Strauss, and Puccini

Abstract - Opera has an important place in the music education curriculum. Integrating digital tools into music education helps both educators and students in the classroom, making the musicology curriculum more interactive. Technology use in the classroom allows students to engage more and motivate themselves when studying opera. This research discussed using digital tools in the music education curriculum to offer a musicology curriculum with a focus on opera. This research analyzed the operatic works by Berg, Strauss, and Puccini. This research focused on the use of digital tools to help students have a deeper understanding of elements of the operas in both artistic and methodological aspects of the genre.
